CALL WAITING

If you're on the phone and someone else is trying to reach you, Call Waiting will alert you with a "beep". You can put the fist person on hold while you answer the second call; and, you can switch back to the first call when you're through. Then, you can continue talking-even if you're waiting for another important call.

TO CANCEL CALL WAITING
If you are going to make an important call and do not want any interruptions, the Cancel Call Waiting feature allows you to "remove" Call Waiting for the duration of your call. Once you hang up, Call Waiting is automatically back in service!

INSTRUCTIONS:
To cancel Call Waiting, Press *70 on a touch calling phone, or dial 1170 on a rotary phone. Wait for dial tone. Dial the number you wish to call. Call Waiting has been temporarily suspended for the duration of the call and will automatically be restored when your call is completed.

If you subscribe to Three-Way Calling, you can cancel Call Waiting during a call:

Place your call on "hold" by pressing the swithhook for about on second, and then release it.
Listen for dial tone, then press *70 on a touch calling phone, or dial 1170 on a rotary phone.
You will automatically be returned to your call. Call Waiting will be restored when your call is completed.
